In an ongoing series of events for this year, Moto wrapped up with its hellomotoworld event. Hellomotoworld was organized in the New York city on 25th July 2017. The event witnessed the launch of new Moto Z2 Force with a shatterproof screen and Moto mods. Further, Moto may come up with a new phone soon, most likely the highly rumored Moto G5 S Plus. Last year Motorola introduced an all new flagship series of smartphones. Under the Z Series, Moto Z Play, Moto Z, and Moto Z Force were launched. Also, this year Moto has extended its Z Series with the launch of two smartphones. These include the premium mid-range Moto Z2 Play and the flagship Moto Z2 Force. In this post, we will cover the phone specifications, about new mods, and price of Moto Z2 Force.
Moto Z2 Force : Built and Design
Moto Z2 Play has an aluminum body, with a water repellent nano coating. This phone is just a level ahead of its predecessor and imitates its design as well. Further, the phone is just 6mm thick, so that makes it quite cool! Also, the conventional 3.5mm headphone jacks are no more on the board. This time, Moto Z2 Play bets on USB C port. Now, the biggest point of its sale is a Shatterproof Screen. This is a much-needed feature for premium smartphones. It sports a 5.5-inch screen with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The shatterproof display is made of plastic, which makes it resistant to scratches.
Moto Z2 Force : Performance and Memory
Moto Z2 Play features an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 processor. This is Snapdragon’s latest and best chip till date. It is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for the sale in the United States. For the rest part of the world, this comes with a 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The memory can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 256 GB. The smartphone will ship with Bluetooth 4.2 but will be upgraded to Bluetooth 5.0 with the arrival of Android O. It runs on the latest Android 7.1.1.
Dual Camera : The Power of Two
Moto Z2 Force comes with a rear dual camera setup. It has a primary 12MP RGB (color) sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 paired with a secondary 12MP monochrome (black and white) sensor also with an aperture of f/2.0. The two cameras work together to create high-quality images. Further, this increases the depth of field effects. Also, it allows us to shoot images via the monochrome sensor in black and white. The secondary camera is of 5 MP.
Moto Z2 Force : Moto Mods
Moto Mods are simply some cool devices that further enhances the Moto Z experience. Motorola has announced a latest Moto Mod with the launch of Moto Z2 Force – the 360-degree Camera Mod. The new Mod adds a 360-degree-camera to the phone which can shoot 150-degree “ultra wide-angle” photos and can record content in 4K. It is available for 299 dollars.
