Since few months, Micromax was waiting and planning silently for company’s first dual camera smartphone. Already, in India Vivo and Oppo has launched dual camera smartphones to penetrate the market reach. Micromax Dual 5 is first home made smartphone that features a Dual Camera. Micromax Dual 5 has two 13 MP rear camera. It is priced at 24,999 and that’s fair enough if you get an insight of the phone. Micromax Dual 5 will be available for sale from April 10 on Flipkart and offline stores.

Micromax Dual 5 : Built and Design

Micromax Dual 5 is claimed to be built from a single slab of aircraft-grade aluminium. It sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for screen protection. Micromax Dual 5 is nicely designed with a curvy touch and a back mounted fingerprint sensor.

Memory and Performance

Micromax Dual 5 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 processor. It is a premium phone with a 4GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 128 GB. Now, these days it is must for a phone of this price tag to have a RAM equivalent to this. Micromax is projecting this model as company’s most premium phone.

Unlike its previous models, Micromax is revolutionizing its camera so as to compete with other brands. It has dual camera setup with two rear cameras of 13 MP. Micromax has used two 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensors. It has features like phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. Micromax Dual 5 supports video recording with 2160p at 30fps. It has a front camera of 13 MP.

Micromax Dual 5 has a non-removable Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery. It supports fast charging with Quick Charge 3.0. Micromax claims to juice up this phone from 0 to 100% in 45 minutes. It has other sensors like accelerometer, proximity meter, and compass. This device will be available in the Gold variant. It is supported by Android 6.0

This year will be a grand year for smartphones. Companies are competing with each other, leaving every stone unturned to conquer the market.
