Lenovo on Wednesday launched its latest budget phone Lenovo K8 Note in India. This is the first time that a Lenovo smartphone will feature a dual rear camera setup. Lenovo K8 Note will be priced at Rs. 12,999 for 3GB /32 GB variant. The 4 GB/64 GB variant will cost Rs. 13,999. Further, the smartphone will be exclusively available on Amazon India. The phone will be available for sale from 18th August, 12:00 pm IST. Also, many believe that Lenovo K8 Note can be a tough competitor for the present Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. This is, in fact, an explanation for the massive success of K-Series smartphones in India. The company revealed that there are around 8.5 million K-Series users in India. Now, let us finally move on to the specifications of Lenovo K8 Note.
Lenovo K8 Note : Built and Design
Lenovo K8 Note features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. Dimensionally, the phone measures 154.5 x 75.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs around 180 g. The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. In addition to this, the screen comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone’s body is built out of aluminum and polycarbonate. Also, Lenovo K8 Note is said to be splash-resistant with water-repellent nano-coating.
Memory and Performance
Lenovo K8 Note is powered by a deca-core MediaTek MT6797 SoC with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.85GHz, and two Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.3GHz. It will be coupled with 4GB/3GB RAM. In my opinion, it’s still too early to determine the performance of a deca-core processor against that of an Octa-Core with different processors, if we look at the close competitors like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 or Moto G5 Plus. The 3GB variant comes with 32 GB internal storage and 4GB with 64 GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded further via a microSD card up to 256 GB.
Lenovo K8 Note is the first Lenovo phone to feature a dual rear camera. It sports a 13-MP primary camera that’s coupled with a 5-MP depth sensor. It includes features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. Further, the front camera has a 13 MP sensor with front LED flash.
Lenovo K8 Note runs on Android 7.1.1. It has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It also contains other sensors like an accelerometer, gyro meter, proximity sensor, and compass. Also, Lenovo upgraded the battery life of this K-Series smartphone. It has a 4000-mAh Li-Po battery. The smartphone will be available in Fine Gold, and Venom Black variant.
One can get this smartphone along with some exciting offers on Amazon India. It includes a Rs. 900 discount on the Moto Sports Headphones, up to 80 percent off on Kindle e-books (up to Rs. 300). Also, the users can get an Idea data offer – up to 64GB of 4G data from Idea with unlimited calls for 56 days at Rs. 343. The first sale will be on 18th August.
